Description

A fine example of a 17th century lady playing a violin presented on a pierced plinth with scroll design highlighted with gold decoration.

The manufacturer is Luigi Fabris,who was born in Bassano del Grappa Italy,having studied and graduated at The Academy of Fine Arts in Venice.

The Violinist is wearing a full tiered dress made by using a fine holed lace dipped in white glaze and rippled to reproduce the creases in the dress.

The overall condition is good,although being such a delicate item,there are afew tiny bits of the dress missing and the tip of the violin bow needs to be glued,otherwise there are no major defects.

The Measurements are Height 8 1/2 Inches x 10 Inches in Length and 8 1/2 Inches in Depth.
