NORITAKE COMPORT ON STAND WITH THREE LEAF FEET C1910-20 & HAND PAINTED WITH CHAISED GOLD DECORATION & INSET WITH LANDSCAPE PANELS & MEASURING 10.25 INCHES IN DIAMETER

A beautiful Noritake Bone China Comport on Stand and superbly decorated in real gold and inset with landscape panels.

The main bowl lifts off of a lower stand,which has three leaf design supporting feet.

The white work glaze is top quality and even the underside of the three leaf design feet and nicely glazed with no rough areas,allowing to stand safely on any french polished surfaces without causing scratches.

PORCELAIN MARK:

1044. Mark: "Komaru" symbol. This mark was registered in London in 1908 and in Japan three years later, and is thought to be specific for export pieces to the UK. The vase was obtained in an antique shop in Penang, Malaysia, and seems to date to 1920s or sllightly earlier.
