This heavy vase is certainly a very eye catching ceramic work of art from Morocco dating from the 19th Century period being hand thrown in terracotta with a dark colbalt blue finish heavily glazed.

The outside of this most pleasingly shaped vessel is finished with a decorative silver coloured metal onlay, all carefully worked by hand into shapes circling the top and bottom of the Vase.

The distinct star shape design which appears three times on the sides of the Vase and down the sides with each star having six points and inlaid with cabochons

There is one tiny chip inside the top rim which is not too noticeable and some wear and distress to the cabochons throughout consistent with age.

The Vase is certainly a one off individual piece and to a collector of Moroccan pottery, would be an exceptional piece to add to any collection.

Very desirable and interesting work of art, such that it would not look out of place in a specialist museum.

The turned wooden ebonised round base stand is modern but enhances the item for display.
