Description

A stunning example of a Rosewood Willianm IV Pole Screen dating from 1830-37.

A fine piece of craftsmanship with original woolwork contained within a rectangular panel covered in glass and decorated with rosewood carvings and scrollwork.

The Main column has a lower fluted baluster with tulip shaped lower segment connecting to a circular veneered platform which has three ornately scrolled foot supports.There is a turned top finial on the top of the column support.

The Screen is fully adjustable with two brack locking collars that can slide up and down the main support column.The back of the sreen still has the fine red silk trim intact and undisturbed.

The screen is crafted to a high standard and is has a french ploished finish with original patina.

A object of interest and interior design,catching the eye of most visitors and pleasantly blending in with other period antiques,enhancingany room.
