Michel Katzaroff (Mincho) is a painter born in 1891 in Brezovo Bulgaria.
He lived for a time in Vienna and then to Paris, where he died in 1953. Michel Katzaroff began to paint portraits of Ludwig van Beethoven to 1931.

In 1946, he exhibited 36 paintings on the theme of Ludwig van Beethoven, the gallery la Boétie (Paris 8th). He held other exhibitions in Paris and throughout the provinces.

These portraits were published as postcards at least twice: just before the Second World War and in Paris 1945-1946.

A skilfully executed work which captures the innocent looking girl sitting for the artist.

CONDITION
Good order for the age having a small blemish below signature as shown with minor fine craquelure within dress.
The canvas has been carefully re-varnished to improve the appearance and colours.
The frame has been refurbished and has a realistic gold leaf finish.
