19TH CENTURY OIL PORTRAIT PAINTING OF YOUNG BOY HOLDING WOODEN SPINNING TOP / SIZE 29 X 23 INCHES

We are delighted to offer for sale this amazing three quarter length oil on canvas portrait painting of a young boy who is about four or five years of age, depicted wearing a blue velvet smock, with an intricate lace trimming around the neck and wrists. He is holding a nicely crafted wooden spinning top.

FRAME
The painting has been newly framed in a 2 5/8" gilt frame, which echoes the lace. It is ready to hang.

CONDITION
Very good condition throughout having no repairs to the canvas, which is clean and taut. There are some very faint craquelure, stretcher marks and slight bumps consistent with age,but not very noticeable.
