Entered Royal Naval College, Osborne, 1905. Midshipman 1909. Sub Lieutenant 1912. Lieutenant 1914 (HMS Doon) Lieutenant Commander 1922. Served as First Lieutenant of HMS Spitfird in the Battle of Jutland (wounded, awarded Leion of Honour by French Government 15th September 1916). Served as Staff Officer to Australian Naval Board Melbourne 1921-23. staff Officer to Commander-in-Chief China 1924-26. Retired 1932. Address: Tockington Court, Nr. Bristol.
