A BEAUTIFUL STILL LIFE FLOWER OIL PAINTING STUDY IN EXCEPTIONALLY DECORATIVE GILT FRAME

We are pleased to offer for sale this very well executed oil painting on board by the English artist R. Hanson, who has signed the painting in the lower right hand corner and dated it 47. The painting depicts a bowl of mixed flowers on a ledge, including poppies, roses and carnations.

ABOUT THE ARTIST
R. HANSON was born in 1910, according to the auction sites, and was working in the middle of the twentieth century. He painted maonly still life oils of flowers.
The artist is listed in The Dictionary of British Artists (Collectors' Club) as has exhibited 3 paintings at the Cooley Galleries in 1940.

The painting is framed in its original 2 3/4" mottled gilt swept frame and bears a Frost & Reed label to the reverse. It will be supplied wired and ready to hang.
