OIL PORTRAIT ON TIN OF BRITISH MILITARY OFFICER IN HIS REDCOAT TUNIC PRESERVED UNDER GLASS IN MAHOGANY FRAME 19 X 22 INCHES

An interesting military oil portrait of a smartly groomed young officer wearing his red coat tunic and regimental badged peak cap.

Painted to a good standard onto a piece of tin or zink metal thin liner and backed onto picture board,securely preserved under glass and gum tape sealed verso.

This is obviously a British Officer in uniform of
presently unknown regiment,who looks to be in age around his late twenties.

CONDITION.
There are a few tiny chips to the paintwork lower right corner( image 13 )and slight marks along the lower bottom margin ( image 14),which we thought best left as seen as the picture has been fully sealed from behind inside a later replacement wooden frame.
