We are offering for sale this large, impressionist oil on canvas by the artist C*** Hayd****, who has signed the painting indistinctly in the lower left hand corner.

Unfortunately we have been unable to decipher the signature.

The painting depicts an English hunting scene, possible in the Lake District, with 6 riders in hunting pink, with some of the hounds at their feet, galloping through some autumnal woodland, with a lake in the background.
The mountains in the background are snow-capped.

The painting has been executed with an impasto technique.
The artist has captured the movement of the horses extremely well and the painting has great depth.

The painting is framed in a 2 3/4" ornate swept gilt frame and is ready to hang.
