Rare Mezzotint Coloured Engraving of Admiral Horatio Lord Nelson. in a reduced miniature passage portrait format.-
Well presented engraving of Nelson taken from the original oil painting by John Hoppner RA which was commissioned in 1801 by the Prince of Wales.

Set within the original frame with verre eglomise gilt lined mount.

All of which looks original and contemporary to the engraving, which is clear and crisp without any signs of foxing or damage.

The original gilt frame has slight wear to gilt and minor distress as expected for the age.
