Description
A lovely well painted oil painting on canvas of a young girl,probably around 7 years of age,posing with flowers in hand,gently glancing into the artists eyes.These type of pictures were painted by many 19th century photographic studios,and would capture perfectly the warmth and innocence seen in the posing of many young children.
Their fairly wealthy parents often commissioned these type of works to fully capture a timeless record
of days and years long past.
FRAME
A later replacement gilt wooden swept frame in the antique style and in keeping with the period.

Victorian period dating from mid 1850-1860
CONDITION
Good order for age with just a few minor areas of craquelure on the dress consistant with age,but not serious enough to require re-touching.
