A beautifully painted portrait of a young girl aged around 6 years seen wearing her white lace dress with flower in hand,and standing by an oak table again with more rose flowers displayed on top.>
The artist is Madam Varney,who has signed the portrait in the lower left bottom corner,working out of her portrait studio from 20 Part Parade,Harrogate.

The artist has almost created an illusion that the portrait itself has been painted on a large piece of white enamelled porcelain with a kind of postcard style presentation.

The detail is excellent and obviously painted in the summer months as the roses are in bloom and dating around the Edwardian period as seen by the tables design.

Fitted with the original wooden gilt frame in nice order.
