Description

A good pair of early oil on canvas portraits, laid to board, and dating from the early Victorian period.
Rather charming pair depicting man and wife, with the gentleman wearing a prominent velvet blue bow-tie with albert watch chain visable.
His well groomed wife poses with a serious look of concentration,as the artist depicts her wearing a cameo gold broach and lace scarf adorned with dry flowers.
Both sitters are shown with elbows resting on the matching arms of a sofa upholstered in a wine and florrel pattern, firmly tieing together the portraits as a genuine pair, never parted after nearly 160 years.

CONDITION & RECENT RESTORATION
Recently resored and reframed ready to hang.
The images are all pre-restoration and all marks and slight blemishes have since been removed.
The latest set of images will be added in a week,
