Description

This recently acquired still life study depicting a large arrangement of flowers painted carefully in a
colourful display held in a sandstone garden urn,seen resting on a corner run of ballustrade.
The painting is executed in the Dutch style and dates typically to the early part of the 17th century,being a truly colourful expression of realism
RESTORATION
The images provided are taken before the full restoration has commenced.
The painting is to be fully restored and is due to be professionally cleaned and re-varnished.
FRAME
The existing frame is to be changed for a correct example of the appropriate period,and this is likely to be replaced with a deep bordered florrentine pierced frame,made from carved wood and leafed in gold.
As soon as the restored images are available and after the frame has been changed,we will post all the latest pictures in exchange for those currently shown and displayed today.

HISTORY
This Florrel Study is reputed to have belonged to the well known Tea manufacturer,Lord Earl Grey.
Paperwork to substantiate this are currently awaited from the previous owners in due course.
