This magnificent study of three of the greatest steeple chasers of the modern era features Gold Cup winners Arkle and Desert Orchid joined by triple Grand National winner Red Rum.
An authentic example capturing the original painting’s texture and depth of colour and of a larger size than many others and is presented in a rich mahogany gold-toned hardwood frame with a leaf motif and acorns.Various sized examples have been produced under licence and were often limited in numbers.Some are mass produced on glossy paper and under glass.
This vintage work dates from the mid - late 1973 - 1980’s
ARKLE was an Irish Thoroughbred racehorse, a bay gelding by Archive out of Cherry, the grandson of the unbeaten ( in 14 races ) flat racehorse Nearco.
RED RUM was the only three times winner of the Grand National in 1973, 1974 & 1977.
DESERT ORCHID known as Dessie, was an English racehorse.The grey achieved esteemed status within National Hunt Racing, loved for his front running attacking style.

Good Quality solid mahogany which is polished and decorated with clover leaves and acorns
